Making Disciples in Relationships
Live with Jesus as King.
Strengthen His Church.
Bring His Kingdom to Earth.
BridgePointe Christian Church was founded in 2013 with the vision to spread God’s love to one of the U.S.A.’s most de-churched regions: Rhode Island’s East Bay. BridgePointe quickly realized that its gift and primary missional strategy was person-to-person relationships. If you came in the door one week and came back the next, someone was going to remember your name.
From 2019 until now, God has been using BridgePointe to bring many people into His family. Despite COVID-19, hundreds of people were baptized and a large section of the congregation was sent to plant a new church in a neighboring city.
I had the opportunity to lead, live, learn, love, and worship with BridgePointe as a staff member and as a brother in Christ.
Many people’s faith journey began with baptism in the waters of the Naragansett Bay. BridgePointe’s summer and fall picnics would often see 20-40 people get baptized at a time.
I have had the privilege of leading the production team at BridgePointe. They show up early and leave after everyone else is gone. They are, unequivocally, the best.
BridgePointe’s staff team is close- really close. The fellowship extends beyond the office with team members looking out for one another’s physical health and spiritual wellness.
Though my role is technical, my “job” is ultimately spiritual- to show God’s love to others. This image represents a significant turning point for the young man getting baptized. He spent years running from God and mocking Christians. But eventually, he could not run anymore.
Of course, we also knew when (and how) to get to work. Beyond the Sunday-to-Sunday rhythm of producing services and beyond the time spent with others in discipleship and fellowship we worked to improve BridgePointe’s capabilities by:
Building a custom drum cage.
Building custom acoustic panels.
Upgrading our audio backbone to an Allen and Heath dLive system.
Producing off-site Christmas and Easter services as well as nights of worship.
Upgrading to and installing a Ubiquiti Internet infrastructure.
Handling all technology upgrades and installations for the church.
